Flipped
Flipped by Wendelin Van Draanen

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"Maybe there is more to Bryce Loski than I know. Maybe it's time to meet him in the proper light." I can't even put into words the total cuteness of this book!!! It's such a light and wonderful read that's gonna leave you smiling all throughout. In short, I FLIPPED over this book! :)

Review: Divergent

Divergent
Divergent by Veronica Roth

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"I believe in ordinary acts of bravery, in the courage that drives one person to stand up for another."

I love Divergent! I love dystopian-themed books. I think it's because of the reason that I think I'm living a dystopian-themed life where everything is controlled. Everything is monitored. And people make decisions for me.

I empathize with Beatrice/Tris and felt that she thinks and feels like me in certain situations. And I love Four! I think that I'd fall in love with him if he were a real person. Tough but sweet and gooey on the inside.

Again, I love Divergent!

Review: Love & Misadventure

Love & Misadventure
Love & Misadventure by Lang Leav

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"For she is his poet, And he is her poetry." I am in love with each poem of this book. I love reading poems like these that need not use heavy, ooh-i-think-you're-smart-because-you-used-that-word-i-don't-even-understand -esque words but rather describes how one feels. Despite the complexity of feelings of the speaker, the poems managed to deliver those complexities with just simple words and few lines and collection of pure emotions.

Review: Ender's Game

Ender's Game
Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

“There are miracles even relativity can’t pull off, Ender.”

I love this book! I didn't expect it to be this good. I love how you could be emotionally stressed and invested with all the twists and turns of events and what Ender feels in every page. Aaaaand, I love anything sci-fi!

(I'm in doubt if i should read the sequel because i loved the ending and i'm afraid the sequel might not give justice to the first book)

Review: Every You, Every Me

Every You, Every Me
Every You, Every Me by David Levithan

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Let me get straight to the point okay? It was no Every Day but this book is still good because LEVITHAN. I love his writing. I love that style of his that really gets to your mind, heart and even your nerves. Like sometimes it frustrates me how I've never thought of that before but then I still love it. Anyways, I like this book because it showed deep and true emotions from the characters. It was a fast read because 1) the book is quite short and 2) i really want to get to the end of the story and find out who the mystery person is.

Review: Fangirl

Fangirl
Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

From the title of the book itself, it talks about a fangirl, Cather Avery, who spent most of her time fangirling and writing fanfics about the book series and its characters that meant so much to her. What I really love about this book is that I really connected with Cath who is an avid fangirl too like me. I really "feel" her because of the way she sees the characters in her stories and the book series itself... they mean the world to her and they surely played a huge role in her life.

Densha Otoko: The Story of the Train Man Who Fell in Love with a Girl, Volume 1 by Wataru Watanabe

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I've been meaning to read Train Man (the novel) but the books is so expensive and i tried searching for an ebook version but failed so i tried reading the manga version instead! I liked it! Such an interesting story. I will try and read another version of Densha Otoko (and by another version, i meant another illustrator: Hara Hidenori)

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

"If you really love something, you never try to keep it the way it is forever. You have to let it be free to change."
Although it really took me a long time to finish this book, i still loved it. I'm loving this series more and more as I finish the books.
I am officially in love with both Jace and Simon. especially Simon! (after reading this book)he's like the type of boyfriend that i would gladly have because i dunno he's perfectly imperfect.

and gdi the cliff-hanger. ASDKHASKFHASL

Review: Where She Went

Where She Went
Where She Went by Gayle Forman

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

"First you inspect me
Then you dissect me
Then you reject me
I wait for the day
That you’ll resurrect me"

I liked this book from start to finish! [though it took me a while to finish it (damn school works!!!)] It's well-written and is packed with emotions/feels. It ended the way I wanted it to be. Just Adam and Mia together. Again.
I really loved the ending! Maybe because I want a musician as a boyfriend and would want a guy to do that for me. *swoons*

Six Earlier Days
Six Earlier Days by David Levithan

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Knowing about Six Earlier Days only today, I expected to know more about how A became "A". But then reading the first chapter/day, I knew that it would just give me hints of what A felt as A's life progresses. Still, it was a nice companion to Every Day. :)

Review: Stargirl

Stargirl
Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"..and at night I feel it is more than stars looking down on me."
Throughout the whole book, all I thought about was how vibrant, optimistic and kind Stargirl is. She's described as "different" by the people around her, but aren't we all? And what i really really love about her is that she doesn't care about what people think of her! She might have tried to change herself and be "normal" to see if people will finally get her, but she is who she is. Stargirl.

Review: Before I Die

Before I Die
Before I Die by Jenny Downham

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I had a journey of mixed emotions whilst reading this book. At first, i'm annoyed at Tessa because she's treating the people around her like shit and like she don't care about what they think but then i completely understand why. I think if i were in her place, I'd do the things she did. I'd make a list too of the stuff I want to do before i die. It's nicely written. It's like it's an actual teenager who is writing the book. Overall: I liked it.

Review: Point of Retreat

Point of Retreat
Point of Retreat by Colleen Hoover

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This book is great! I love it. But I love Slammed better. Just when I thought I couldn't love Will's character more, I was wrong. I love how much he loves Lake and how he proved it to her. Let's just say that the standards and expectations I had for my future "guy" just increased a thousand fold because of Will. Haha! Anyways, Slammed was really really awesome and better but I still love Point of Retreat.

Slammed by Colleen Hoover

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

If I can give this book 10 stars or a thousand stars, I will. This book is amazing. I really can't put into words how great this book is. It made me laugh. It made me cry (literally, especially that letter from Julia) It made me fall in love along with the characters. It made me want to punch Death and Life in the face. Lastly, it made me hope that someday, maybe someday, I'll find my own Will. This book is totally going to be one of my favorite books.

Too bad Daryl's not in the comic books. It's just sad cos I love his character. If you're like me, who watched the series first before reading the graphic novels, you might get confused with what's happening. Overall, it's still has a great storyline and I like it.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I think I liked the television series better than the book. Maybe I felt like everything was going fast because I watched the series first before reading this so I know what's gonna happen and who's gonna die and stuff. But I still liked the book though. Looking forward to reading the second book. :)

I have a love-hate relationship with this last book. I both loved and hated the fact that this book has no closure. But then I still loved it!

The Best of Archie Comics Book 2
The Best of Archie Comics Book 2 by Archie Superstars

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This was a really nice collection of the best Archie comics starting from the 1940s up to the present. I've always loved Archie comics since I was a kid and I still love them. I'll prolly continue collecting and have my kids read 'em. My fave part in this book (and prolly what i don't like) is Archie's proposal to Veronica. Things just got serious. The gang's college graduation. Their plans in life. and then this?! There's this page of the actual proposal and you can just see and feel the drama there. I love it. Looking forward to read Archie's Married Life and more of The Best of Archie Comics!

Annabel
Annabel by Lauren Oliver

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

*may contain spoilers!*
Somehow it seems to me that Lena was the one talking. it's like Annabel thought and talked like Lena. This book offered the back-story of Lena's mom as to the truth of her "cure" and the days back in the Crypts ans how she and her husband met.
This was a nice back-story. Still a lot to be revealed.

"If you know something, do something. I'm sorry Lena." OMYGOD. Those words at the ending. My brain keeps screaming "I KNEW IT I KNEW IT I KNEW IT WAS HANA!!!!"
I thought it was just another story told from another perspective like i already knew what happened cos Lena talked about it too y'know? But the last words. That got me good.

Review: Delirium

Delirium
Delirium by Lauren Oliver

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I love how this piece of work is giving off a "The Hunger Games"-esque vibe. Maybe because in some ways, Lena is fighting for her life too. She's resisting. She finds ways to break free from everything. From every piece of lie that had been fed to her. USA (specifically Portland: setting of the story) is like Panem with all the strict rules the grip they both have in each and every citizen.
The main theme of the book is: "What if love is a disease? And the cure for love will make you happy and safe forever."
I can't go on and on with this book review because i'm not really good at not giving spoilers.
"I love you. Remember. They cannot take it."

Review: Why We Broke Up

Why We Broke Up
Why We Broke Up by Daniel Handler

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

What I really like about this book is the cruelty of the truth about their relationship. It's like, it's there (truth) but as most women would be blinded by the love they're currently feeling, they can't see or are not able to see what's lying beneath there. This is a good book! Considering that a guy wrote it in a girl's perspective. So accurate that it's a bit freaky. Another thing that i liked is that I can see or feel what Min's thinking and feeling right now. Love this book!

City of Bones is a fast-paced action-packed book. If you're really into the supernatural stuff like demons, werewolves and the like, then his book is for you. It's not just another supernatural book where this cult kills this cult, no. there's more to it than that. There's drama. a bit of a romance, yes. Getting to know one's self. Hatred. Betrayal. Lies.

Review: Looking for Alaska

Looking for Alaska
Looking for Alaska by John Green

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well at first, I thought this book was about an adventure of Miles (Pudge) but then as I read the book, it's like reading a much more adult version of Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. What I like about this book is that it isn't flat considering that this is not an action-filled/adventure-filled kind of book.
*spoiler alert* I think that killing off Alaska off the book is alright. It brought not only her friends together but everyone. It made Miles and the guys realize how much they truly care for Alaska and how much they really miss her. If I were in their shoes, losing one of my closest friends is enough to bring me to a great depression. It was amazing how Miles and the others went through it strongly.
Peer pressure. Falling in love. Stress. School. Death. Missing someone so much. This book has it all. Great read! Kudos John Green!

This book is amazing! You can feel the desperation of Sam on the last days of her 'life' especially the last one. This book will really get you thinking. You'll think on what you're gonna do when you're on her shoes. It got me thinking. It is truly sad to not have so long of a time to change things. To leave a mark. A footprint on everyone. To somehow change yourself for such a short time. This book is great.

Review: Crescendo

Crescendo
Crescendo by Becca Fitzpatrick

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Well. This is the second book of the Hush Hush saga. And at first, I really found it dragging since Patch and Nora are having trouble in their relationship and it just got me a bit frustrated (since I've missed Patch and Nora fluffs, you know). As the story goes on though, there goes the page-tearing action that just got me going through the book! There goes Nora's mom and Hank Millar's affair which will soon be revealed by Marcie which makes matters worse for Nora. Nora's life sucked on this one. She thought she lost Patch to Marcie. She felt so alone. Her mom is having an affair with her enemy's father. What could make matters worse? Knowing that you're dad isn't your real dad after all. Sucks! Oh well. The ending is such a cliffhanger!! But a big thumbs up on this one!

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I liked it but it became really predictable to me since I've already finished all the Assassin's Creed games but it's still a very detailed and informational (and somewhat) guide for AC gamers and addicts. If your interest is on bloody killings/assassinations, revenge and stuff, then this book is for you.
