Review: We Were Liars

We Were Liars
We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

"A part of me died,"he says. "And it was the best part."

I love We Are Liars. It's slow but builds up as the story goes on and as more secrets are revealed. Cadence Sinclair suffered an injury that caused her to forget what happened on Summer Seventeen at Beechwood, their family's private island. Her family, including the Liars, refuse to tell her what happened and let her remember it on her own. So as the story goes by and as previous summers were thought of, piece by piece Cady started to patch the pieces of the puzzle. And it was terrible. The twists were mindblowing and just left me thinking for a few minutes after reading the book. Of course, I wouldn't spoil the book and let you find out on your own, like Cadence Sinclair Eastman.
