Review: The DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend

The DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend
The DUFF: Designated Ugly Fat Friend by Kody Keplinger

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

The reason I decided to read this book is because I saw its movie trailer which I thought was silly and hilarious. So I decided to give it a try. And it surely did not disappoint. It's such an entertaining read that I did not even realize that I was getting close to the end because once I started reading it, I did not want to stop!

What I liked about The DUFF is the reality that Bianca (THE DUFF) is living in. I sympathize with her because I, myself, felt (or still feels) that I have always been the DUFF in our circle of friends. I've always felt not likable by the opposite sex which did not do well with my confidence. But also like Bianca, a guy came in and made her feel wanted. Liked. This guy makes her feel like a goddess. Beautiful.

Although what Bianca and Wesley have was purely physical in the beginning, it's so refreshing to see how it blossomed to something way more than that.

So this is for those girls and boys who feel like they are The DUFF. Do not lose hope. Ever. Someone out there -no matter how cliché this may sound- is meant for you.

Together

"I miss you."
You say, as we talk
Senseless
Bizarre
Impossible scenarios.
Our little secrets
Confined in our
Little world.

"I love you."
You say, as we kiss
Stare
Kiss some more
Touch.
Our hands
Made for each other
Like puzzle pieces.

"I will marry you."
You say, as I see
You
And I
In that future
Together.

Review: Better Than Perfect

Better Than Perfect
Better Than Perfect by Melissa Kantor

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I give Better Than Perfect 2 out of 5.

Reasons why I didn't like the book:

*Everything is so sloooooooOOoooOOw. The plot. Character development. EVERYTHING.
*Most of the characters (except Sinead and Danny) are annoying. I can't seem to sympathize especially with Juliet, the main character of the story. I just can't.
*l didn't like the ending. It wasn't Better Than Perfect, for me at least.

Reasons why I liked the book:
*Its cover. That's it.

*drops mic*

Review: Beautiful Disaster

Beautiful Disaster
Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Beautiful Disaster is addicting from start to finish! I tore through every page, every fight and every kiss Trav and Abby had. It's not actually that amazing but it's like one of those books that just keeps you hooked from the first to the last page.

Honestly, Abby and Travis can be so annoying sometimes that I just want to bump their heads together and yell "NOW KISS!!" every time they get so frustrating for me. But I understand them. I, myself, am in love and know how it feels to be in love. Crazy in love. Abby and Travis just showed the kind of love some people crave for. That kind of love that makes you do crazy and illogical things.
