Review: The Elite

The Elite
The Elite by Kiera Cass

My rating: 2 of 5 stars

I didn't like The Selection. And because I am the type of reader who finishes all the books in the series, I tried to give The Elite a chance. Still, I did not like it. I was so close to giving this a 1-star rating but then I love Maxon so this additional 1 star is for him.

Upon reading The Elite did I just realize that AMERICA IS BEYOND ANNOYING! She's so annoying that she made me make a new shelf here on Goodreads JUST FOR HER. (It's under Annoying Main Character shelf, if ever you're wondering haha)

I actually decided, halfway through the book, that I will not read the next one, The One, because I am starting to hate the series. But then the ending comes and it's just frustrating how much I need to know how this series will end!

Review: The Selection

The Selection
The Selection by Kiera Cass

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

First off, I've been meaning to read this book and have been putting off for so long. So when I actually got a hold of it, I expected a lot. Well, to be honest some of my expectations weren't met. I like this book but it's not really memorable for me. It's not like the other books I've read and loved that got me thinking for hours or days.

I like Prince Maxon and America too. But I think it's because America's character just seemed to be so likable no matter what. Idk. Haha

Well, even if I gave this book just 3 stars, it doesn't mean I won't read the next 2 books. Of course I want to know how it will end! I would still recommend this to anyone who wants a quick read and a quick jolt-in-the-heart romance.

Review: Anna and the French Kiss

Anna and the French Kiss
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

"For the two of us, home isn't a place. It's a person. And we're finally home."

This book screams romance and all that teenage fluff but most of us have been through this kind of hormone-induced and heart-wrenching moments in our teenage years which makes this book so relatable.

Don't get me started with Etienne because with everything he does in the book, my reaction is always "UGGGGH ETIENNE!" Either from frustration or for making me blush and giving me butterflies (even if I am NOT Anna haha).

I totally recommend Anna and the French Kiss to anyone who is looking for teenage romance, something witty and funny and relatable.

Oh by the way, I LOVE YOU STEPHANIE PERKINS. You rock!
