Review: Free Four: Tobias Tells the Divergent Knife-Throwing Scene

Free Four: Tobias Tells the Divergent Knife-Throwing Scene
Free Four: Tobias Tells the Divergent Knife-Throwing Scene by Veronica Roth

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

"Looking at her is like waking up."

It's pretty obvious that this is a short read but I think it's just right. It was enough to give us just a hint of what and/or how Four thinks. I liked that Four is not all gooey and cheeseballs when he thinks about Tris. (that last sentence tho eep!)

"I can't leave now. I like her too much. There, I said it. But I won't say it again."

Review: Dog Songs

Dog Songs
Dog Songs by Mary Oliver

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“For there was nothing sweeter than his peace
when at rest.
For there was nothing brisker than his life when
in motion.
For when i went away he would watch for me at
the window.
for he loved me.
For he suffered before i found him, and never
forgot it.”

"Because of the dog’s joyfulness, our own is increased. It is no small gift. It is not the least reason why we should honor as well as love the dog of our own life, and the dog down the street, and all the dogs not yet born. What would the world be like without music or rivers or the green and tender grass? What would this world be like without dogs?"

Review: City of Ashes

City of Ashes
City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

"If you really love something, you never try to keep it the way it is forever. You have to let it be free to change."
Although it really took me a long time to finish this book, i still loved it. I'm loving this series more and more as I finish the books.
I am officially in love with both Jace and Simon. especially Simon! (after reading this book)he's like the type of boyfriend that i would gladly have because i dunno he's perfectly imperfect.

and gdi the cliff-hanger. ASDKHASKFHASL

My Dog: The Paradox: A Lovable Discourse about Man's Best Friend by Matthew Inman

"Maybe that's why we love them, because their lives aren't lengthy, logical or deliberate but an explosive paradox composed of fur, teeth and enthusiasm." ❤️

Review: Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened

Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened
Hyperbole and a Half: Unfortunate Situations, Flawed Coping Mechanisms, Mayhem, and Other Things That Happened by Allie Brosh

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

“Nobody can guarantee that it's going to be okay, but - and I don't know if this will be comforting to anyone else - the possibility exists that there's a piece of corn on a floor somewhere that will make you just as confused about why you were laughing as you have ever been about why you are depressed.”

Aside from the witty drawings and crazy stories (which I really loved and made me LOL), I really loved the insightful things that comes along with her stories. One of my favorite parts is Depression Part 2 because it opened my eyes to what depressed people are feeling and is by far (I think) the most accurate description of depression.

If you're looking for a quick and light read, then it's best that you read this book now. And if you can't get enough of Allie's awesome stories and drawings, then go check out her blog: hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com :)
